Recently our dog had an incident where he hit his head pretty hard into a baby gate, the pressure mounted kind. Within a half an hour he started losing his balance and couldn’t see out of his left eye. After two visits to the vet and some steroids he is doing better but still can’t see out the left eye and has some balance issues.
This weeks photo challenge was depth. this situation has hit our family pretty deep and just shows the depth of love we have for him. We hope he continues to progress the way he has been and he stays comfortable.

Poor fellow! Hopefully he’s tough as well as being a softy

Thanks Debbie, he has been so amazing and seems to be adapting to the limited vision fairly well.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. He is doing much better after the steroids and seems to be learning how to handle his reduced vision quickly. He even went out to plain in the rain…for a few seconds. Talking to some other people that have seen similar things it sounds like he might have a detached retina, ouch.
